The pair met for the final time during Friday’s weigh-in - and Kell Brook came in the heavier.
Brook looked fitter than ever, tipping the scales at 159.4lbs, with Golovkin a fraction less at 158.9lbs.
He said afterwards: "I feel Golovkin is on edge, he’s uncomfortable.
"I’m ready for this fight. I’m at my natural weight. At past weights I look like I’ve got my granddad’s teeth in I’m that thin but now I feel healthy and I feel ready to put my skills and my chin to the test.

"It’s written for me to be out there, in the stars, to win this fight.
“If I win I’m the man in boxing, pound-for-pound world No 1.”
