Those that realized this early (or even now) are making a killing at the pulpits.
What’s so difficult about reading a story book and interpreting it as you wish depending on the message you want to put across?
If you want to see a book that is consistent in its inconsistencies, look no further than this book. You can use it to preach for or against anything. Preach peace by saying Jesus said to turn the other cheek. Preach war by going through the conquests of the Israelites.
However, the gaps that the Bible has with life as we know it today cannot be answered using the same Bible unless we decide to take our brains on vacation. Nobody has been able, for example, to tell me the origin of different races given that we are all descendants of the same 2 parents. Why God killed His son instead of Lucifer. Why, the all-knowing God who already knows us before we are born makes it seem like we have free will. Why the miracles that He used to do in plain sight now are being “done” by cons masquerading as preachers and prophets. Why He would force that Luo Onan guy to impregnate his brother’s widow and smite him for non-compliance. Why if He is the same yesterday, today and forever He seems to be inconsistent in His actions etc etc etc.
For you to understand the consistency in the Bible, you need to open your spiritual eyes. Read it like a story book and you will be confused like the Ethiopian eunuch.
I agree with you on this one. The Bible is not what it was intended to be, and those translators are the people who brought all these problems (king James and his gang). Now we have a new version every year! o_O
The Quran, on the other hand, is still intact. Get an English version and read through it to see what I mean. The problem with Islam is the people - they can be toxic as shit. They also know an awful lot about the spiritual world so wanaeza kupoteza virahisi.
