The basics of these two-wheeled things..

I need to learn just enough to test-ride a motorbike. A150cc nothing fancy. Naeza pata wapi a place ya ku-learn the basics.

I know to be safe on the road I have to get an actual license, but hio itakuja baadaye, if I decide I want to go with it and get on the road.

Enda Driving school like rocky has motorcycles don’t endanger yourself and other road users kama hawa mafala wa nduthi taxis.

Hehe … mama nani kuja polepole

I think it took me less than an hour to learn how to control it on a dirt road and the next thing we were on tarmac, my trainer and I headed to Nakuru town 30kms away. I was young and daring, looking back now, it was pure stupidity. Oh and it wasn’t one of these Chinese things that are all over now. It was a 185cc Yamaha.

Mimi sikufunzwa. Nilisema nionyeshwe kugurumisha, kuweka gear, clutch, and off i went. Shida iliingia nilipotaka kusimama cos I was approaching a wall, sikusema nionyeshwe brakes. I switched the thing off miraculously dio isimame. It was a yamaha dt 175, that was in 2006. Two days later hiyo kitu ilinigongesha chini kwa junction, sijawahi sahau. I didn’t know how stupid it was for me to ride such a powerful duthi without any training. Hio kitu sio ya kucheza nayo. Yule analinganisha baiskeli na duthi, shauli yako. Duthi ikishagurumishwa inakuwa kama shetani,
