Forget that some cannot feed themselves and their 23 children i the 21st century.
Forget that some wake up every morning, when others are sending rockets to Mars, not to go to work but to raid their neibas for cattle.
Forget that…ferk that.
You keep complaining that the gavament is not creating jobs for the youth, as if that is the gavament’s role.
So what do you do today?
One truck in Nakuru knocks down a pastor and kills him.
Local Africans and their wives (each clutching a breast-feeding baby) in all their wisdom gather all the company’s lorries, as many as they can get, and torch them. Just like that, because of one fatal accident, 14 lorries go up in flames. An investment of Sh40 million burns.
Now assuming each lorry employed five people (drivers, loaders etc) and the company involved - a wood processing firm - had 90 other employees in the support and factory departments, that’s like nearly 200 jobs gone just like that in one day.
And in the evening we will all gather to blame the gavament, as we stare at the 15 hungry faces of our children.
Let’s take a moment of silence for the African, one of God’s most amazing creations.
we are a frustrated society, waiting for the flimsiest excuse to vent out the anger and frustration. See what happens when there’s a blackout at UON, students go out to vent their frustrations on motorists along the nearby roads.
Perhaps we should examine why we are this frustrated?
Jesus Christ! Why do you guys always seek to get excuses for stupid, primitive behaviour? Where in the world are people living in Utopia and are not frustrated? In Uganda? Burundi perhaps? The Congo?
This is the kind of shit I really, really can’t stand.
Yenyewe this has to stop. Those that vandalized the trucks should not only face legal action but should also made to compensate the losses incurred. Even if it means selling off their land then maybe next time they will think before taking action
My friend was one time almost killed by these mobs for knocking down a pedestrian who was clearly on the wrong.
It all boils down to stupidity, bush mentality and primitiveness, some of these characters are exhibited right here only to a lesser scale.
all motorist face the same wrath from the footstubish team…they always think that those behind the wheels are the reasons behind their misery/umaskini… jaribu kuchota msee na mazda demio ndio utajua raia…but torching 14 beast hiyo ni beyond na extreme sana from the locals or they are sending a message that they don’t want this company and the logging activity in this area.
Actions like this, and the endless circus that is our judiciary, have convinced me beyond reasonable doubt that 90% of us were not ready for full-blown democracy. Sisi ni kama mankis with loaded AKs - shooting down everything, destroying, polluting, etc etc. We can’t seem to help ourselves.
Meanwhile in Rwanda, a benevolent dictator is slowly but surely pulling his nation into the 21st century…
A famous political scientist whom I won’t name so as not to derail this thread once said that leading Kenyans is like herding cats in an enclosure. There’s no way you can expect any form of order in such a situation.
