Turns out degree za STEM muhimu sana. Hao boot camp coders ndio wako kwa line ya kwanza huko Silicon Valley
The first people to be fired are always the least productive ones - degree or no degree. So, kutokuwa na degree hapo ni obvious disadvantage if you are some average coder juu they have an excuse to axe you. I can assure you that a highly skilled coder with a degree in a different field or no degree won’t be fired because businesses are meritocracies (largely). The top talent is always the last to get fired and first to get hired, papers or not.
@Azor Ahai. (DEI ni Diversity, Equality and Inclusion, basically hiring faggots and obese black women to lazy about and fart in plush offices while taking home a salary of $100k+)

That is not always the case. The most expensive employees are always the first to go during such layoffs. Then they are replaced with a cheaper workforce that will hold the Fort until things get back to normal. I’ve seen it happen many times and is why I really don’t value employment.
I said most skilled, not most expensive. Big difference.
Pale twitter I think they are laying off watu kama site moderators.
Twitter is now no longer well moderated. I am even getting videos chafu in my twitter feed.
Very unfortinate. Twitter ikiendelea hivyo people will migrate to other safer sites.
Mzito Thomas Sowell calls them race hustlers.
what if the best are degree less ?hapo mnatubeba ufala
Most skilled = Higher pay
When the company is looking at the bottom line hata ukuwe na skills they will axe u. Directions zinatokanga juu with the amount of fat to trim and that mid level manager hata kama he values a certain employee has no choice but get with the program. The argument inakuwanga as a manager u should have guard rails around such events. Have seen it more than once.
Hao na product managers walienda but they are also massively firing techies. The first to go are Moringa school bootcamp certificate holders wakisonga. Coders with Computer Science, Physics, Maths or EE degrees ni elite and are still in high demand

People should learn to code so they can build their own products…not just to get hired. That is how a country moves from third world to first.
But how will you be paying your bills.
Ama utakuwa ukifanya any hustle halafu unafanya coding jioni time umechoka na huwezi kuelewa kitu.
Which if it’s the case, you’ll move at a very very slow rate than a person who is doing it full-time as a job because they’ll be learning more
You joke too much son.
The best way is to wake up early like 5 am code the hardest parts of your product for 2-3 hours, work for your employer for 8 hours, then find at least one hour after work to fine tune your product and brainstorm some marketing strategies. Nothing comes easy - you have to make some sacrifices now so you can enjoy life later.
True. People like Mark Masai and Denis Okari were shown the door from NMG due to their huge salaries. The salary Mark Masai was paid at NMG was enough to hire 10 or more lowly paid employees. Imagine sasa yeye na Okari.
Its mostly cost cutting. Utapata the same companies will eventually start hiring cheaper remote workers living in 3rd world countries.
Kwa hifyo tujifundiche kucode
Stop overestimating your importance on this earth. You are a million times smaller than makende ya siafu. Kama wewe ni bazu fungua site yako to do battle with Twitter.
Everage talker is happy with lack of moderation at Twitter . Who doesn’t love some Caucasian blue eyed slut nudes ?
