I had already downloaded Rufus but when I click on the iso image it shows an error that says the image is not bootable, the laptop I want to install the os is a mini with no DVD/CD drive
Use winrar n extract the iso contents to a filder in desktop. Open the folder then click on the setup.exe m let it install
Tumia Win usb ya Linux (Ubuntu). Its the simplest way I’ve ever used in creating a bootable windows OS on usb.
Rufus is the best choice, you can try the windows usb/dvd download tool…
This is how I do it. Assuming OS version >= Win 7.
Format flash as NTFS. Copy all the files from the ISO to the drive.
Go to Computer Management > Disk Management and mark the partition as Active.
Open DOS window as admin and navigate to the USB drive( Let’s call it drive I: )
Type I:\bootsect.exe /nt60 I:
Boot from the USB.
download flashboot thank me later
I finally found the solution, i partitioned the usb drive and made it active using the command prompt and after that i copied the files which i had extracted from the OS iso to the drive directly and it worked ( no need to use rufus or any other software )
