I don’t know about the picture but commercial colour photography started around 1900.
I know of their existence prior to that date but I didn’t know there are some old colonial era (before 1950’s) color photos taken in Kenya.
The sad thing is that we are still using ferries just like we used to in 1947 much to our inconvenience
