Metal and plastic packaging firm to invest at Tatu City

Business Daily
WEDNESDAY, JULY 5, 2017 18:42

Local packaging firm Friendship Container Manufacturers has announced plans to establish a metal and plastic packaging plant at Tatu City, becoming the latest company to invest at the Special Economic Zone near Nairobi.
The company said the construction of its warehouse and office block is under way and will cover an area of 15,000 square metres at the Tatu Industrial Park, with completion and occupancy set for the end of 2017.
Chief executive officer Arun Shah said the new plant will drive the business objectives of the company.
“Friendship’s selection of Tatu Industrial Park underpins our company’s growth and expansion agenda…we will also provide job opportunities to additional people in the area apart from the 250 existing employees that will relocate to Ruiru,” Mr Shah said.
Tatu City senior development manager Chris Ochieng said Friendship’s decision to move to Tatu Industrial Park is another sign of investor confidence in the wider Tatu City development, where the first school has opened and large-scale residential projects are under construction.
“The list of companies is growing by the day,” Mr Ochieng said.
“Tatu City is committed to playing an active role in transforming the economy of this region, and we welcome other interested parties to partner with us toward this objective.”
The investment by Friendship follows announcements by other companies building facilities at Tatu Industrial Park, including Chandaria Industries, Africa Logistics Properties, Dormans, Unilever, Kim-Fay and Maxam.
Tatu Industrial Park comprises 457 acres of serviced land targeted at light industrial, assembly and warehouse and logistic use.
Founded in 1978, the family-owned Friendship Container Manufacturers supplies plain and decorated metal, plastic and composite containers as well as both metal and plastic closures for professional commodities and household consumables.

Nice pics. Kwa nini hizo tank za chuma huwekwa very high from the ground?

Juu ya gravity instead of water pump
@WuTang umeniangusha.

Wacha zako bana

Ndio ikuwe distributed to various places easily ama?

Kwa nini? Just an innocent query.

In a layman’s language, water tries to find its own level…meaning if a pipe drawing water from an elevated tank is lifted up, it will continue to discharge waters as far as its mouth is below the level of water in the tank…consequently, it means that u can supply water to any floor of a flat so far as the floor’s height is lower than the water level in the tank. This is more the reason why any water intake works for a town supply is done at the river source because this point’s altitude is high and water can flow by gravity…it can go up small hills whose altitude is lower that that at the intake. This way, u eliminate the need for a pump…

Google siphon theory used in water towers(hae scul chem)

for gravitational pressure for the water…and also to hold water…

Gravitational pressure for the water?

Yes. The water has pressure due to gravity. Mathematically pressure = densityheightgravity.
The higher up the water tower, the greater the water pressure . However , you do need to pump the water to the tower first.
