From Bongo movies and general observations, TZ young males mostly come out as lazy fellows who spend most of their time idling, seducing rich women for money, talking politics, dressing in leisure clothes, fantasizing about good life and envying their more prosperous neighbors. I don’t think they would survive the hard life of work that you find in Kenyan informal settlements or the hardworking life of nomadic pastoralism in northern Kenya. TZ ni kuoga, kukaa na kula tu.
That carefree lifestyle that originates from coastal areas seems to have spread to mainland TZ.
Add that to the ujamaa manenos that nyerere tried to force upon them and the result is a people lacking ambitions.
Totally agree. The only thing that has helped them so far is relatively low crime levels and leaders who seem concerned with the affairs of common man. Otherwise things could have been worse.

There are many things we can learn from TZ and many things we can teach them. For sure they have a problem with not being hardworking.
