Earlier in March 2025, Dr. Nchemba submitted the budget framework and expenditure ceiling before the Parliamentary Committee led by Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa.
The Government proposed a budget ceiling of TZS 57.04 trillion, marking a 13.4% increase compared to the TZS 50.29 trillion budget of FY 2024/2025.
The new fiscal year starts July 1, 2025.
