Tanzania has cancelled its annual Independence Day celebrations I'm just waiting for this Tz Sh collapse

Tanzania has cancelled its annual Independence Day celebrations scheduled for December 9 following weeks of post-election unrest in the region.

Prime Minister Mwigulu Nchemba announced the decision on Monday, November 24, saying President Samia Suluhu had ordered that all funds set aside for the event be redirected to address the economic slump the country has experienced over the past three weeks.

“The president has directed that on December 9, there will be no celebrations for Independence,” Nchemba said.

He added that all relevant sectors, implementing agencies and coordinators must ensure the funds are properly used, noting that President Samia had insisted that all damaged infrastructure be repaired without delay.

Formal petition to the ICC is being served. With the US demanding an external investigation to the case, expect pre-trial chamber, then case, then arrests warrant especially wakianza kusumbua ICC. After arrest warrants is issued unakuwa isolated globally.
Once Samia leaves power, yeye na family watakuwa fugitives only confined to Tanzania. Akijaribu kukanyanga any other country, South Africa,Kenya (since there will be a regime change). The next CCM powers that be might hand her over to clean their reputation na continuity of the party’s dominance in politics and Samia will no longer be useful.

@255 I see your country is approaching Somalia levels of governance.

As we can see here, people with a beginner’s understanding of the state apparatus genuinely think human rights lawyers are some kind of power, when in reality they are like the thalmor in Skyrim. Somewhat relevant.. but pragmatically, irrelevant.

Yes. When you’re an old man in a wheelchair, it doesn’t matter who you were. You’re dependent, and pissing off those you looking after you when they can simply walk away, means your temper must be very, very basic indeed.

Kunduwellers Bhana!! We always cancell and allocate the money to specific issues.

Using English words to sound smart but saying nothing.
Evidence kwa case ya Suluhu is too overwhelming, nothing will save her.

We did it last year. And we will continue to do that

You mean those dead looters and protestors? Let me refresh your memory with our own gen z problems last year.

Much more gruesome version from 2007.

As you can see here, using the images of dead bodies/children for political mileage is a tried and tested technique in African democracies. I’m sure the international community is shocked by such graphic content on the 9pm news, but for some us and some actual officers, this is just another Tuesday.

If Netanyahu has an arrest warrant even when US protects him unadhani Ruto ataepuka, kwanza when he is leaving power?

@255 somehow thinks cerebrating independence is an abnormal occasion no wonder your grandfathers fought the germans using wheat flour and water thinking they will be immune to bullets

Arresting Netanyahu is the same as arresting Vladimir Putin for the arresting country. Existential.

I think arresting people who have access to an airforce is a bad idea in general. Gen Z’s want to learn things like this early on in life.
