It’s a very tricky situation for all parties involved. The way i see it, here are several possible unwanted scenarios in no particular order:

I can bet 100% the holocaust card will be played. But the Russians seem to have made up their minds on this.
So on the one hand Israel claims it can destroy the S300 system, a system specifically designed to shoot down multiple targets from hundreds of kms away, while on the other hand begs Moscow not to deliver it to Syria. In short, the days of Israel shitting all over Syrian airspace are over.
