How many talkers here love swimming? Swimming is fun, it relaxes the body and mind. Swimming is a good way to keep fit and one of the easiest ways to pick up chics :D. I rate myself somewhere like 4.5/10 in swimming skills. I am currently practicing swimming under water without coming up. Where are the swimmers?
Here I is… grew up in the coast so swimming was the main childhood passtime. We used to go to the beach then tukirudi tukifika karibu home we would roll on the ground ndio mchanga wa baharini utoke halafu tuchafuke tuseme tumetoka kucheza boli. We used to swim across the Mtwapa bridge from one side to the other (Bebiloni) and jump from the top of the rails into the water. Those were the greatest of times.
Huwa sipendi swimming pools juu mimi hujiskia claustrophobic in one, but once in a while when I visit my nieces and nephews we swim pamoja.
People pee and fart in that swimming pool “with lack of importance” (stolen from Judy Smart")…And just when you thought the ocean is an alternative…raw sewage finds its way there…and fish fuck in it.

I like swimming but I haven’t been to a swimming pool for approximately a year now…reason being swimming around Nairobi is an expensive hobby. First, for you to keep fit through swimming you’ve got to exercise several times a week, which is fine. However, you’ve got to part with money to access a swimming pool in Nairobi. Second, exercising through swimming in cheap pools means that you’ve have to contend with swarms of people basking like crocodiles on the sidelines and only get into the already crowded pool when their skins get hot from the sun which brings me to the third point. To access a decent pool which is not crowded, you’ve got to part with not less than Ksh 1500 per day which is damn expensive if you ask me. My take is that swimming around Nairobi is a leisure activity MOSTLY for girls looking for an avenue to post semi nude pics on Facebook to generate likes whilst boosting their self esteem and dudes who can’t approach a fully dressed girl in normal social channels and are looking for a chance to help a semi-nude chick learn how to swim or take secret photos za kugurumisha nduthi.
However public swimming pools like Kasarani and Nyayo (not sure) May provide cheap alternatives. Kasarani has three pools the Olympic sized one has very few swimmers even on a sunny Saturday afternoon while the rest which are generally shallow are full of the people I described above
There are some nice swimming pools around Thika Road that go for between 200-800 and they are not crowded reason being that there are very many other swimming pools which charge less. I know of a swimming pool in Zimmerman that charges 70 bob. Inakuwanga imejaa watu wacha tu. When I want to get laid I go there na siwezi toka peke yangu
That one is big enough for your claustrophobia
