When the likes of Larry Madowo, Macharia Gaitho, Prof. David Ndii accuse President Uhuru Kenyatta of not resolving the doctors’ and lecturers’ strikes, EXACTLY WHAT DO THEY MEAN? Do they mean that Uhuru should ignore The Treasury, The SRC, and the joint universities council and unilaterally award the strikers 300% pay rises?
Who are these so-called impartial critics kidding?
Hey listen, everyone is greedy and the a good example has been set forth by your vp.Why should they not be greedy and yet vp is the greediest ( if there is English like that) of all?
The problem is that the civil service salary is now at the mercy of SRC and there is little Kamwana can do or else every sector comes up in arms demanding a payrise.
After regularly chastising them and saying the papers are only good for wrapping meat, I have keenly observed the Kenyan media led by NMG and SG groups and concluded that they are on a mission to prove to Uhuru that you can’t fight the pen and win.
The presidency is the wrong institution to petition to solve the ongoing strikes. Real power currently rests in Parliament. That is what the SRC learned the hard way. So if lecturers, doctors, teachers want more salaries they should petition Parliament. It will take just an act of Parliament to have the salaries effected.
Exactly. SRC has already done an entire civil service job evaluation and the cadre groups that were considered for an improved package due to their academic toil were doctors and engineers.
