Surah 47:4

Surah 47:4. When you encounter those who disbelieve, strike at their necks. Then, when you have routed them, bind them firmly. Then, either release them by grace, or by ransom, until war lays down its burdens. Had Allah willed, He could have defeated them Himself, but He thus tests some of you by means of others. As for those who are killed in the way of Allah, He will not let their deeds go to waste.

RIP Deborah Samuel who was murdered by Muslims at her college in Nigeria for “blaspheming” Muhammad. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, now a crown of righteousness awaits you.

So 5 ndio kuna 72 virgins ama? I always think that Muslims never had their New Testament, coz if we follow the Old Testament then the world would be very chaotic, and Jesus came and rescued us from the york of the Old Testament

Before the above verse was revealed, the following verses came down. Stop quoting things out of context. Aggression is strictly forbidden in Islam and fighting is permitted only in self-defence.

"And fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits. Qur’an (2:190)

"But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that hears and knows (all things)." Qur’an (8:61)

"You may kill those who wage war against you, and you may evict them whence they evicted you. Oppression is worse than murder. Do not fight them at the Sacred Masjid, unless they attack you therein. If they attack you, you may kill them. This is the just retribution for those disbelievers. Qur’an (2:191)

"If they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then Allah gives you no excuse to fight them."Qur’an (4:90)

“You shall not kill any person - for GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. If one is killed unjustly, then we give his heir authority to enforce justice. Thus, he shall not exceed the limits in avenging the murder” Qur’an (17:33)

We dont worship the same God with muslims

Who is ‘We’

The Law of Abrogation, or naskh, in Islam says that the “peaceful verses” are not in effect any longer while the violent ones are still in effect. In Christianity, that would be equivalent to the Old Testament Mosaic Laws having more weight than the New Testament Law of Grace. When Muhammad started out his new found religion, his tone was peaceful, which is why you will find so-called peaceful verses in the Quran and Hadith. Muhammad thought he could appeal to the Jews and Christians living in Mecca and they would all leave their religion to follow him. He was wrong. His new religion was a dismal failure so much so that he had to flee to Medina out of frustration, where he dropped the conciliatory tone and took on a more belligerent stance. Either convert to Islam or die. As a result, Islam spread like wildfire and that is how it has been since then. Islam has spread throughout the world by sword, death and conquest. Therefore it makes sense that Muhammad’s latter scriptures, for example the Verse of the Sword, Quran 9:5 and others, abrogated (or canceled out) the earlier peaceful verses when he was in Mecca.

Surah 2:106. If We ever abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten, We replace it with a better or similar one. Do you not know that Allah is Most Capable of everything?

You’re very correct. Yahweh of the Jews and Christians is not synonymous with Allah.

Oh? @mayekeke, can you expound on defensive versus offensive jihad? I seriously cannot wait to hear your argument.

What you All need to understand is that Extremist elements in every religion on earth always seek to mis-interpret Holy Scriptures to suit their sick agenda’s …

This is why GOD saw it fit to send us Jesus Christ ( PBUH ) to CLARIFY issues and set us on the correct path …
But it proved too much for some who decided to kill him …

Much later , along came Prophet Mohammed ( PBUH ) with much the same challenges …

The roots of the Sunni-Shia divide can be traced all the way back to the seventh century, soon after the death of the prophet Muhammad in A.D. 632.

While most of Muhammad’s followers thought that the other elite members of the Islamic community should choose his successor, a smaller group believed only someone from Muhammad’s family—namely his cousin and son-in-law, Ali—should succeed him.

This group became known as the followers of Ali; in Arabic the Shiat Ali, or simply Shia.

The essence of the problem is that Muhammad died without a male heir, and he never clearly stated who he would want to be his successor.

Eventually the Sunni majority (named for sunna, or tradition) won out, and chose Muhammad’s close friend Abu Bakr to become the first caliph, or leader, of the Islamic community.

Ali eventually became the fourth caliph (or Imam, as Shiites call their leaders), but only after the two that preceded him had both been assassinated.

Ali, himself, was killed in 661, as the bitter power struggle between Sunni and Shia continued.
At stake was not only control of Muhammad’s religious and political legacy, but also a great deal of money, in the form of taxes and tributes paid by the various tribes united under the banner of Islam.
This combination of money and power would only grow.
Within the century after Muhammad’s death, his followers had built an empire that stretched from Central Asia to Spain.

If only you knew what Jews think of christians.

Strange …
Islam , Christians and Jews all believe in one GOD , the creator of our universe.

So where is the difference …??

First of all, the only corollary you should attach to Jesus is “Lord and Savior” Jesus Christ. When you say Jesus (pbuh) you’re pivoting to Islam which recognizes Jesus as a prophet but denies his Divinity as God.

Good point …
So…
If Islam recognize Jesus Christ ( Lord and Savior) they ought to respect both Him , his teachings and his followers …

Which they do not …
That is why we are “kafir” as far as they are concerned …

Also to piggy back on this, you agree that fighting IS permitted in Islam. In Christianity, fighting isn’t permitted even in “self defense.” The spirit of God has no tinge of revenge or malice. What were Jesus’ last words on the cross? “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” Same with Stephen. Even as they stoned him to death the only words out of Stephen’s mouth was him pleading forgiveness and mercy to his killers. What a heart. No born again Christian has the spirit of revenge even when they have been wronged. Especially when they have been wronged.

Which is why I disagree with those who say that the souls under the altar in the fifth seal are Christian martyrs (Revelation 6:9). They cannot be! Those are Jews. Why? They died without receiving the revelation of Jesus Christ and His grace and mercy. Islam also endorses vengeance as a key cornerstone of the faith.

For the big question, what is the Islamic definition of self defense?

Luke 6:29-30.
Jesus said, “If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them.
Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.”

Romans 11:25. For I, brethren, would not have you be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits: that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.

Christians claim that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and son of God. Jews are still waiting for the Messiah. The idea that Jesus is the promised Messiah is laughable to them.

Jews claim that Jesus is not the Messiah since he did not fulfil any of the Messianic promises. He was not even from the seed of David, as it had been prophesied of the Messiah. What do you think of the Jewsih claim since their Torah is the one that makes the claim in the first place?
Dont you think they are in a better position to tell us who is the Messiah and who is not?

Can you expound why Jesus “did not fulfill any of the Messianic prophesies” and why He was not a descendant of David?

Christians killed millionns during the crusades. They are no better
