In China, they’re known as “nail houses” – homes where owners refused to accept compensation offered by road builders and developers in exchange for the demolition of their property. The dwellings stand like a nail that refuses to be hammered down – a not uncommon phenomenon as some homeowners resist dispossession of their land or hold out for more money.
Reminds me of that house near Nakumatt Galleria, did the KeGov eventually demolish it?
@Deorro, please upload the images on the link for the anti click movement.
It was demolished, the lady owner had frustrated Kenha for 2 years in court and telling everyone she is Kenyatta family. One cold night the former CS Kamau showed up with 5 earth movers pressing her gate walls. She left quickly to go report to Karen police station. On coming back with the cop in land cruiser she found the gate walls down and a team of mean AP’s. The cops went back. She finally cashed in on her compensation fee a week later after she had moved. A year later the interchange was complete.
