Spotify is a software that allows you to stream music.
It has a free and a premium version.
The free version has annoying adds and other limitations like the number of songs you can skip.
The premium subscription offers none of these annoyances. Plus you can save the songs you stream and listen to them offline without internet. The collection is massive. I prefer the phone app for when I am on the move, but once in a while I listen to it at home.
Normally they charge Ksh. 1000 to 1300 per month.
Today and for the next few ones they are charging Ksh. 100 for three months of subscription.
You should try it out.
Use a PayPal when paying otherwise they will not accept it.
I’m so into Apple Music 3-month trial I’m wondering if I should start paying come December when my free trial ends, the access to all music is so good, I’ve built this wonderful library but 600 per month for music = ~8k p.a for music, and it’s nearing robbery…
What are the other options, educate people, where you find quality music you can keep on your phone for offline listening, I mean apps that discover music, give suggestions etc…
The point is that once you listen for those 3 months you will want to keep that app for good.
In my opinion, the quality and variety of music on Spotify is quite impressive. It can also create playlists of related music. Show you new releases. Play by genre. Each week you get a suggested playlist based on music you’ve been listening to.
Premium services are premium for a reason.
Tunein is radio the music is not CD quality .
If you have good surround sound or headphones you can even hear the producer sneeze on Spotify. But then again, you have to have bundles bundles bundles.
Streamind services are hopeles if you depend on bundles or have a capped connection. Unlimited broadband is the only way to enjoy it. As other have said, there is a lot of FREE streaming music online, including several Kenyan stations.
Perhaps Spotify can argue that there are artists whose work is exclusively offered through their system, or that popular ‘Top 40’ offerings get there first, but there are so many alternatives today: iTunes, Deezer, Amazone, Pandora, etc. I enjoyed the one year free of Spotify and Deezer, but did not subscribes because I have enough choice.
