In the good old days the whole village or mtaa helped raise batoto. A grown up could discipline any misbehaving kid without siasa mingi. These days things are very different.

i visited a friend of mine with a some guys, so our friend “the father to the kid”, calls his son akuje asalimie wageni, its a big 7 year old kid, and the kid was just tucked on the corner seat shaking his head “NO”, the dad and the mum were just smiling saying “huyu anakuwanga hivo”.
anyway kusalimia wageni is not important , but the fact that the father can be disobeyed on such simple instructions was really sad.
