He was used and dumped now he is bitter. First to fight those supporting ruto in parliament, then to pass BBI and finally to divide mt. kenya votes, probably they had convinced him they will support him for his presidential bid.
JB is a gentleman, He did all that because of his close friendship to uhuru. However it exposed him badly. Now he can’t even win Embu governor. Too many embarrassing slips. Arriving by chopper to be welcomed by kids. Sleeping overnight nude in a hut in the name of chasing community leader endorsement.
He is the leader of the representatives of the people. Even though he has shot himself in the leg numerous times previously, the parliament is supposed to be the most powerful institution in the country.
He lost in the M.P. for Mbeere North race in 2007 and more embarrassingly in 2013 despite having the T.N.A. ticket.
And I am not sure I know any speaker of the Kenyan National Assembly that won any elective seat after serving as speaker.
