I don’t understand whether it’s my nature or my intelligence that pressures me but I really hate people who always boast about their God, I mean pia “sisi” we got our own gods so spare us your silly testimonies and wait for the D-day.
infact I don’t believe in some of the testimonials some of the believers tell. If you’re destined to be successful then so be it but if you’re a peasant or worse being a peon then do all the impossible to prove otherwise.
nikimalisia nasema hivi It is blindingly obvious that things like “God moves in mysterious ways” and “God always answers prayers, but sometimes the answer is "no” are just lame excuses to explain why God rarely (if ever) keeps his supposed promise to actually GIVE the faithful what they ask for in faith (not just “answer their prayers”.
Winning = Good quality of life, no poverty, no disease, good relationships.
Christian God wants you to pass through hardship and loss like his apostles for his own glory.
Success is relative.
Everyone has their own definition of success.
Depending on their goals in life.
Some people’s goals include staying healthy and living long enough to see their offsprings live happily,
To others, amassing of wealth is a goal therefore, being rich is success.
For others, leaving an impact / mark on society in their lifetime is a goal they strive to attain, only after which they consider themselves successful.
Therefore, there are very successful people who are materially poor.
To some, my definition may be defeatist. But am at peace with that.
I also hate the kind of strangers who introduce themselves to me like ‘I am so amd so, i am saved na yesu ni bwana’ then a moment of silence follows while he/she is expecting me to say the same. How hard is it to say that even for conmen.
Mambo ya maombi, it is difficult to explain. For God has his will and we have our desires in which we pray about. Gods says his will stand and no matter what. I think we all have a poor understanding of our creator and books do little to help us understand.
Its an old thread but I’d like to post one thing. Regardless of your religious affiliation, what we need to realise is that we are not what we say we are. Let people see with their eyes who you really are. Don’t tell me you are (insert your religion here). Don’t even show me. Just be whatever you want to be, and let the world decide.
Let the hawk perch, let the eagle perch. Whichever says to the other,“you may not perch” may its wing break-West African saying.
