Her office is said to have purchased about 360 Viagra pills and the generic version of the drug ahead of her visit to Africa.
But according to Daily Mail, Geun-hye’s office said the pills were bought to potentially treat altitude sickness for presidential aides and employees on her May trips to Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya.
The countries are said to be 1 to 2 kilometers (0.6 to 1.2 miles) above sea level.
Spokesman of the presidential Blue House Jung Youn-kuk said none of the pills were used during the trips.
Her party members have accused her of letting a secretive confidante manipulate government affairs and amass an illicit fortune.
