Wadau, how do I fix this error on my TV?
Nimepeleka Sony service centre the cost for repair is approximately 10k. Wanasema the back lights need to be replaced.
Would you advise me to fix it for that cost or focus on buying a new TV?

Depends on your budget & preferences for upgrading. Repairing old stuff huwa a gamble, if it fails again and requires another 10k, that’s 20k you could have put into another TV. There’s also the feel good factor of upgrading into a new model, you can spend to get more features & increase size from 32IN.
Never ever go to Sony center for repair when the warranty has expired. They will just con you 5k consultation fee and later give you a figure equal to a brand new item. Go to Luthuli and ask around and you will be led upstairs to electricians who can help you
