Somali Special unit (Danab) have been clearing Al shabaab on the outskirts of Kismayo and have liberated few small towns around the area in the process.
Soon they will square it out with Kenyan forces as the diplomatic relationship failed. With Norway muddling the waters it’s interesting to see how matiangi navigates.

Hapo kwa “Danab” you are wrong. Danab takes orders from the Americans who train and equip them. Just recently Danab commanders gave Mogadishu the middle finger and refused to deploy its men to Mogadishu over political wrangling upon request by Farmajo. Mogadishu had to fly in Gorogoro another special unit who were training in Turkey. This units Turkish trained and American trained are even more likely to engage each other pretty soon.

I watched VICE news and Danab seems too dependent on American fire power and after the Americans left, Danab is just a bunch of weaklings.
