He just uses manipulation tactics. He mirrors you to earn your trust. If you like football, he really pretends to love football and bcz most people are narcissistic, they love a kind of blank slate who mirrors back what they like. People do it alot when relationships are starting, it brings the illusion of having no separateness. It is only past a certain age where you cannot be bothered to be anything or anyone but yourself. His lack of empathy is scary though.
