Very sad. What makes people go to such extremes is knowing they will never get justice, not in Kenya. I know of a lady who used to sell cosmetics door to door for a living. Over a period of about 4 years she was able to save 2 million kshs. If you guys remember Kimunya’s pyramid scheme…now this lady “invested” the entire 2m and lost it all. She had never told her husband that she gave Kimunya and co. this money, all this time the hubby is thinking pesa iko kwa bank. Nakuambia she almost went completely bonkers while the fraudsters are mheshimiwas living the dream.

Yes, that pyramid scheme (and others at that time) went down with Kshs 34 billion belonging to kenyans, and at least 20 people committed suicide.

This Nairobi has some very crafty fellows.I once had an experience where a fake professor came to our office and convinced the director that kuna job ya kusupply vitu to schools .All we had to do is demo the equipment in some school in Kisii.Eveything was so well planned mpaka governor alipitia hiyo shule during the demo time .Later tukangoja kazi ya kusupply vitu but all the prof was asking was money and more money .We did some research and we did called the director for meeting and we '‘warned him’’ that we were being conned .He couldn’t understand why were negative about a professor who seemed to know what he was doing by arranging some successful demos in schools.
One day the professor sent a young man to collect some money to collect some money to facilitate a demo.Vile tuliona kijanaa tukamwambia aiingie boardroom angoje director.We roughed up the boy until he said he was just a messenger .The boy left shaken and director never got wind of this but we were determined kuchukua Sheria mikononi mwetu instead of watching the company go down .

I understand the anger. One million maybe peanuts to some people, but you don’t how long it took him to get there and perhaps it was his only hope. It’s the hope that kills you. Last week I lost some money too, money that I had saved for a long time. The anger that I felt, I could have pierced my guts wallahi it’s only that I didn’t have a knife at the time :D:D
