If you recall after the 2018 handshake, Kikuyus were all over insulting Uhuru DIRECTLY and calling him names but Ruto has a similar handshake- in fact more than a handshake- yet these okuyus are only attacking ruto indirectly. they fear mentioning him directly. just beating around the bush. Why arent they insulting Ruto the way they were insulting Uhuru?
In fact, if you recall, only after Uhuru’s handshake with raila, did okuyus start talking of mau mau as a way of getting an opportunity to attack uhuru and his family(because they are accused of betraying those chokoras known as mau mau).
Following the same script i would expect okuyus to revive the 2007/08 violence that was blamed on Ruto et al. If the first handshake made them revive the mau mau story as a way of castigating uhuru, this handshake should make them revive the 2007 violence as a way of castigating ruto.
it seems these okuyus have morbid fear of Ruto and kalenjins. The way they are dealing with ruto after handshake is not the way they dealt with Uhuru.

What is this obsession with kikuyus and their politics? In 2022 kikuyus put aside issues to do with tribe and voted someone who they thought would fix the country. That was political maturity that should be emulated by all other Kenyans. If the one who was voted for isnt performing or deviates from what was agreed then every kenyan including kikuyus have a right to criticize him, it has nothing to do with tribalism. Ruto’s own people in RV are telling him that he should concentrate on what he was elected to do and stop fighting his deputy or wote waende.
