Skumawiki for votes

When did the mountain fall so bad? I ask because not so long ago, they used to feed themselves, and the surplus, which was a lot, was used to feed Nairobi residents. Then recently I remember seeing some folks in Nyeri saying they traveled for more than 2 hours to go queue for a 1kg packet of maize flour dished to them in the mlolongo format where everyone and everything is shoved to get out of the way for the next person.
The same is happening to Mbeere people, who are queueing for 2 leaves of Skumawiki and one bulb onion, in return they should vote for whoever Itumbi is trying to sell.
Mountain people, you are failing our country. This is not poverty, nor lack thereof. @Electronics4u tetea watu wenu.

It’s not that our people suddenly became “cheap.” It’s the system that failed us.
When farm inputs keep rising, when the cost of living keeps climbing, when the same people who should empower us economically leave us struggling — desperation becomes the only language left.

We didn’t lower our standards. The government lowered the quality of life.
So when someone comes waving two leaves of sukuma, an onion, and a tomato, it’s not because we value our vote that little — it’s because many families have been pushed to a point where even the smallest thing looks like relief.

Fix the economy, lower input costs, and restore dignity… then you’ll see the mountain stand tall again.

Hasla intentions was to make everyone poor in order for him to lord over everyone.
But you have to give it to the guy since saperes don’t eat veve (skuma). Wamezoea kabichi afathali ivo this guy is doing a progressive campaign; not for vote but healthy living. Skuma ni ya ugali which they don’t eat.

Choices have consequences. If itumbi’s candidate will be elected for the mere exchange of 2 cloves and a bulb of onion then they deserve worse. Worse than being alienated in any progressive programs in the country. The generation that is queuing there clearly has basic school education. These are just lazy…I’ll stop now.

It’s time to look elsewhere for solutions to Kenya’s problems.
