I semi-quit my job. For the past week I have not been to work and I have blocked all work contacts. Today is Monday and I have no energy to deal with anyone’s bs.
I guess I quit. I have no idea where I will get another one. It’s not a bad job but I just don’t want to do it anymore. I also have no plans for earnings in future.
what headache ? the employer has a right to fire you at will and without notice in a none unionized job, and the employee has a right to quit at will and without notice. ama huwa kunaenda aje ?
Ata ukipata something you love. It’s still a struggle my brother. That’s where men get separated from boys. Cause a man will do what’s expected of him. Na sio employees tu. It’s worse for those on whom employees rely on for a paycheck. Hata ukiwa mgonjwa my friend, utaamka by force and not only must you motivate yourself. You must motivate others.
Obviously not recommending this to anyone, but on really bad days I take two bottle of guinness and they help me dig deep to find the motivation I need.
1 months notice is the bare minimum expected of civilised people. And for formal employment it is a legal requirement.
Also what happens to his CV now. Will he keep that period of his employment quiet? No one likes blank periods on a CV.
It’s a red flag that you are dealing with this sort of person.
People run businesses to make a living. Anyway, if he was my employee, I’d simply not pay him for the half month he has worked. Ati he doesn’t feel like it. Seriously? You think I felt like waking up today? No I’d much rather be curled up in bed having sex or watching UFC or football or something. Like I said, a sense of responsibility separates men from boys. Nikilegea ni watu wangapi nitamess? It’s not always about what you feel like.
Kama kesho ni kazi, no alkohol today. Inafikanga age ingine hata pombe haibambi.
OP, tafta kazi ingine kwanza. You can also consider taking leave - at least 2 weeks upate energy.
