dude you were on EDGE and causing? thats what happens when you try to connect to a site and your speeds are horrendous.

I have noted the issue and i am investigating how to resolve it, in the meantime this seems to help:
Try switching the network mode, on the mobile networks settings, switch between WCDMA/GSM, WCDMA only or GSM only.
It seems to be related to mobile network operator DNS records but i have yet to confirm that theory.
