Twaz all good until I saw nikiitishwa ID number, phone number, full names etc etc. Why do you need all those for an online petition? What exactly do u plan to do with my details? Urmmm, thanks but no thanks!

What’s the big deal in giving out your details unless you engage in shady business.
Nowadays VCT’s are asking for,
Your full names,
Your ID number,
Your phone N0,
Your next if kin Phone contact,
A close friend’s phone contact,
Full names of your next of kin or friend,
Your current residential area,
Your district of birth,
Your education level etc.
What privacy is there left?

Last time I went, I only remember giving them my name (I can tell them John Smith if I want to), age, marital status, level of education and date of last sexual contact (if I could remember). Period!
Ostensibly, it’s to ensure you go for treatment and adhere to it should the test turn out positive.
Those MPESA booklets have your details to a T
Which reminds me, they take those details AFTER the results…
They have no mandate to ensure that. Its not like TB where you are a risk to everyone if you refuse treatment. VCT ask that info for stats i believe, it cannot be for treatment
