After reading Matibas early business success I can now confirm siasa can mess you if you are a successful business person though you might be called upon to do it it remains dirty walai this guy alikua sawa he even attempted to start his airline RIP
The guy was a go getter from an early age, if he couldn’t get the kind of service he expected, he simply started a company that could offer it at the standards he expected.
Its just that Kenyans are a thankless lot, aspiring politicians should first sit down with their families before venturing into politics.
Even after all his struggles for the common man, he was NEVER honored , no street was named after him in 2002 when his fellow 2nd liberation comrades took power.
Its only under Pres. Uhuru’s regime that he got awarded a paltry 900M for his troubles… At least Pres. Uhuru met him a couple of times.
What I never understood is why his comrade Mwai Kibaki never saw it fit to at least honor Matiba in his 10 year presidency.
I wouldn’t call them comrades, infact, Kibaki somehow fucked Matiba over in 92
RIP, but anyone who doesn’t know how to handle money is an idiot o me.
Fvck your Kenyan “respeck” for the dead. He was an entitled dumdum!
The reason Matiba failed to win the 1992 elections was Kibaki

Not Kibaki. Blame it on democracy, which we all know all too that he was fighting for.
it’s kibaki who dry fried Matiba’s ass. They had an agreement to resign from the government way back in the year 1988 to protest the sacking of kibaki as VP and start their own party,Matiba went along with the plan but kibaki offered his ass to Moi to be shafted, letting Matiba down. That’s where Kibaki got his nickname’General kiguoya’ or the Coawardly General’.From Matiba himself
Let’s be realistic, inspite of his contribution matiba was too sick to govern.
Huh??? He was an investor but it didnt work at the end. Investors loose most of their deals. But when they win, they win big. Plus he fought the regime and they screwed him physically. He couldnt work.
the 3 learnt their lessons and by 2002 the opposition knew what to do. in 1992 and 1997 Moi aliwacheza kama madwanzi
If he had the instruments of power, I shudder to imagine the kind of president he would have been.
Yes, we dodged a bullet hapo. But was this known at that point? 92 ulikuwa Ford Gani?
Asili, obviously.:D:D:D
Matiba was a POLITICIAN NOT A PRIEST. As a politicican he deserved what befell him.
And in politics there are no permanent friends. Ask wetangulia.
