sgr

Remember the SGR civic works was more costly since we chose double track freight trains to carry more load and containers.

The $ 4 Billion cost is just for building the railway. We picked the best ultra modern railway stations that are better than most of Africans airports.

I read an article in the DN last week. It indicated that the passenger trains will be moving an average speed of 80 km/hr

Maximum speeds 100 and 158 respectively. Average?

there is a lot of misinformation out there about the SGR project. Passenger trains will travel at 120 kph while freight trains will travel at 80kph

double stacked containers on a single line has the capacity to carry much more cargo than you can imagine, 216 containers on one train.

kwa wale hawajui this is how double stacked train looks like

There’s no where in the world where containers are stacked more than two high! Yet Kenya SGR trains must be stacked 4 up to make it upto the writer’s standards!

Some people regret losing ‘the Dark Continent’ to Shainaman.

Their very last chance was 2013, when they tried to foist JaKuon on us using their ICC as leverage. Now he is on the rampage like a sole male buffalo kicked out of the herd, and they no longer dare openly bet on him after two losses.

Even if our SGR is not at par with the TGV, it is 1000 times better than the 1900 line that some people uproot when annoyed.

The SGR has provisions to upgrade it to electric train in under a year. It has cable ducts for its own fibre cables for operations and enough space for power cables and other fibre cables. What will be included are a fence and overhead cables.

Propaganda ya huyu spear enyewe imelipiwa pesa mzuri.

Of course if you agree with gov, see the project, listen to civil servants umelipwa. But if you criticize, burn and throw stones you are independent minded. Wewe nimekupea hiyo kazi to make sure that nimelipwa while I still reside in this earth.
