Dont worry that’s what passing stations are for. Drilling this tunnel is very expensive but necessary. It takes up 60% of the section budget.

The entire SGR is being electrified for its own electric power needs for operations as well as future provisions to convert it into electric trains.

The truck will also have high speed fibre optics cables for its own communication needs and excess capacity can be leased to other companies.

Basically we are not just getting a level 1 best engineering railway project but all new service road next to it that can be tarmacked to be a parallel express highway, a new fibre optic platform and new electric power grid linking Nairobi and Mombasa. Everyday this project looks cheaper not expensive once you consider all the extras.

This is the map and it will be hard getting the final map. Only the top officials in Ministry-KRC-CRBC have the final drafts and they have been read in as state secret. This is because cartels are out there buying land on the route and want will want 10 times more from government.
