The GOVERNMENT will spend Ksh.467.9 MILLION to MOVE a secondary school and hospital from the vicinity of the Standard Gauge Railway in Kibwezi, Makueni County.
This is after the managements of the two facilities — Kathekani Secondary School and Mtito Andei Hospital — wrote to Kenya Railways asking to be relocated due to NOISE disturbance from the trains that PASS nearby.

there had to be an incentive for the cry of mwananchi to be heard…otherwise if the idea of allocating the money was impossible ata hatungeajajua kama kuna barua iliandikwa…and of course it is the managements of the two facilities that independently and out of goodwill wrote the letter.
If it’s relocating, all you need to put up are structures, then logics cost of moving equipments. Hiyo pesa ni mingi sana. Even a hundred million bado ni mingi.
Any school or hospital near the SGR will also say “me too.” Hapa ni ukora tupu. A big portion of that Ksh.467.9 million will end up in pockets of the facilitators
How far are the institutions from the line, are they outside set distance guidelines.
How about noise reduction windows or other type of sound insulation. We may have to move entire neigbourhoods /villages.
