Is it logical to serve two life sentences, how many lives would the convict have? Charged of 9 counts abuse of minors and convicted for 10 years on each count to be served concurrently.

Usually, these kind of sentences are meant to send a dramatic message; they are essentially life sentences, though the state can keep the body until the end of the sentence. In the US some psychos have been jailed for 999 years even. Of course nobody will probably ever claim a body after 90 years - mali ya huyo jamaa ishagawanwa na bibi saa hii prolly ako na MWK already - jamaa amepotelea tu hivo…

I think for a life sentence one is eligible for parole so the double lifer I think is to make the possibility of parole to near impossible

That would not reflect the gravity of this guy’s deed, as it would mean 10 years, possibly reduced to 6. Regular one-time rapists of adults get up to 24!
The real sentence will be when inmates discover why the guy is among them. He will be raped 90 times every 3 months for ten years, until he cannot hold his cabbage soup and weevil-infested beans.
