Am I the only person who is certain that sasa ndio katanuka? The next four months will be brutal i.e May, June, July na August. People are dying like flies in developed countries. Melinda Gates is not an idiot akisema Africa will have dead bodies in the streets by June. People like Melinda Gates have access to information that even our government doesn’t. That’s the smart money. UK has almost 4500 deaths today (unverified). Na ujue these guys have the best health care systems wakati huku patients share beds and sleep on floors on a normal day. If there was ever a time to stay home and minimize movement ni the next four months. Katanuka sana na nahurumia wananchi.
If you can afford to stay indoors for four months or more, do so. Let the virus eat through the population until herd immunity is achieved. At that point it will be safe to get out. If you are above 50, you probably have enough cash to stay indoors for a couple of months. Do it. If you don’t get covid-19 by December, you will be in the clear because by then, herd immunity will have been achieved. Anyone can get it and there is no foolproof method, lakini better safe than sorry. The last thing you want is to find yourself in a crowded hospital ward with 1 ventilator gasping for breath.
Do you know that so far, 72% of the positive cases in Kenya are asymptomatic? That only tells you it’s very difficult for the virus to kill you if you are healthy. Watu tasumbuliwa ni watu ya diabetes na cancer. So they should be staying at the farthest corner of Kenya already. HiV infested people have refused to die already in SA. Meaning ata hapa hawatakufa. Karī kīhīī
Boss those UK deaths are a summation of people who have died in care homes. Meaning watu ya 80-90 yrs. How many do we hve in Kenya? How many care homes o we have, where if the virus strike we’ll likely to have mass deaths? Coronavirus: Care home deaths up as hospital cases fall - BBC News
It is natural to hate bad/negative news. It is not like I enjoy watching people dying. I’m just saying. If you can afford to self-isolate for the next few months, do so. Prevention is better than cure. Obviously most people can’t afford to stay indoors and I understand. But for those who can, going out is not worth the risk.
Definitely I think it’s safer isolating yourself but it should not be the reason why people shouldn’t hussle. The do-nothing govt has no strategy and is definitely trying to copy what US will do. Should we wait till the vaccine is found in the next 20 yrs like HIV ndio turudi job? It is a fail for govt, and we should just learn to live with this virus anyway. Akuna sku itakuja tuseme corona imeisha Kenya. Neffa!
Kuna kitu inaitwa herd immunity. Read about it. When say 80% of the people get the virus, the virus dies out because it lacks hosts. Exponential spread of the virus means that in a few months many people will succumb before herd immunity is achieved. Covid na HIV are totally different. HIV spreads very slowly in a population. You can’t compare the spread of an airborne disease to that of an STD.
Here is the tricky part. Nobody knows whether he/she will survive the virus. Ni pata potea even if you are rich. Therefore, if you can afford to stay indoors for a few months, you can wait until herd immunity is achieved instead of risking your life. This is particularly important for older people who have the resources to stay indoors and are more susceptible to the virus.
Ona sasa akili ndogo ka ya cockroach. Where have I insinuated people with HIV are getting cured? I mean life continued after HIV na watu wamengoja dawa for 40 yrs, so we cant wait for corona vaccine to start hussle again
