I am looking for a home for the aged in the western region. If anyone knows of one I would not mind assistance, directions, contacts or information.

And dont bring me “Africans this or that”. You may not have had the opportunity to endure real hardship with an aging loved one. Modern life demands certain things, change is inevitable.

I dont know of any in western. If it was in Nairobi, you would be spoilt for choice.

Have you thought of employing a fulltime assistant for the loved one with the money you will use in such a home ? No judgement just asking ?

@Kaffir, I am looking for someone who can do that, maybe two people. If I can find any I will opt for that.

Nairobi and Central would do - @aviator - suggestions please so I can check them out.

Get in touch with an org called Helping Hands Kenya on 0708 375 001. They have trained personnel (resident caregiver) and are affordable to some extent. Have used them for almost 3 months. So far so good.

Thanks. I will give this a try. I hope they have staff willing to live in a village in Nyanza if a home is not the option. We still dont have KPLC in 2016:)
