I think that depends on how many customers have been served (the system removes them from the queue) and how many are left, yet to be served hence ‘the 1 customers ahead’
I don’t see a big problem. There will only be one instance when that statement will not sound right: when only one customer is ahead in the queue. Every other instance including zero customers will sound right. An additional ‘IF Statement’ would solve it though.
