I was at a money agent this morning and i couldnt help overhearing how she was swindled 50k by some guy, she was telling it to who i suppose was a colleague.
So, some guy comes in and withdraws 50k from mpesa, the agent hands him the money and as he is walking out he supposedly receives a call and returnd to the agent, hands her the money an asks her to deposit it again to his phone, the agent counts the money and deposits it and the guy leaves, later another customer comes and withdraws 3k and she hands the 3k to him, the guy takes the money only to notice its fake, the agent checks it, then checks the remaining 47k from the earlier guy n realizes its all fake, thats when she realizes the guy switched the 50k with fake notes then redeposited… Well that guy made his 50k since the attendant after reporting knows that the guy withdrew the 50k minutes after leaving… Take care villagers

How about this? A guy withdraws cash say 5K. And since some of these attendants are not thorught,he gives a fake ID number. Then the conman calls safcon customercare and claims to have withdrawn from the wrong outlet. Safcon calls the outlet and they can not give the correct ID number although the figure withdraw is correct. Safcon refunds the 5K and the outlet loses 5K. It is happening everyday Across The Creek… TUM students are main culprits

I have heard of this severally. A lady friend of mine had to really plead with safcom that he knows the client personally and therefore therr was no beed to ask him of his ID number.

If I give you 10k and you give it back to me, chances are I have to recount it to confirm if it’s 10k. Unless you are a ferking moron, you must notice the notes aren’t the same ones you gave out.
