Surveillance video has emerged of a ‘Saudi operative’ wearing Jamal Khashoggi’s clothes, fake glasses and a beard while leaving the building where the journalist was murdered.

As international accusations of a Saudi cover-up intensify, extraordinary footage appeared today showing a man wearing the Washington Post columnist’s clothes, leaving the Saudi consulate in Istanbul where Khashoggi was killed.

Images obtained by CNN show a member of the reported 15-man Saudi ‘hit squad’ leaving the consulate by the back door, as an apparent decoy shortly after Khashoggi’s murder.

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has promised to detail Mr Khashoggi’s killing “in all its nakedness”, raising international pressure on Saudi Arabia.

The kingdom’s claim on Saturday that Mr Khashoggi died in a “fistfight” was met with international scepticism and allegations of a cover-up to absolve the 33-year-old crown prince of direct responsibility.

Turkish media reports and officials maintain that a 15-member Saudi team flew to Istanbul on October 2, knowing Mr Khashoggi would arrive to pick up a document he needed in order to get married.

Once he was inside the diplomatic mission, reports also claimed the Saudis accosted 59-year-old Mr Khashoggi, cut off his fingers, then killed and dismembered him.

CNN broadcast surveillance footage showing a man in Mr Khashoggi’s dress shirt, suit jacket and trousers. It cited a Turkish official as describing the man as a “body double” and a member of the Saudi team sent to Istanbul to target the writer.

The man is seen in the footage walking out of the consulate via its back exit with an accomplice, then taking a taxi to Istanbul’s famed Sultan Ahmed Mosque, where he went into a public toilet, changed back out of the clothes and left.

The state-run broadcaster TRT also reported that a man who entered the consulate building was seen leaving the building in Mr Khashoggi’s clothes.

In the days after Mr Khashoggi vanished, Saudi officials initially said that he had left the consulate.

Alikuwa anaenda kuoa akiwa na 59 years ya nini?:D:D Ona sasa…

I believe Mossad can pull this off without being noticed.

The woman probably pressured mzee to marry her.

The force is weak in you, brainwashed easily. Feeble mind. They would be noticed but the UN and the US and the mainstream media would tell you the David and Goliath mythology and you would swallow line, sinker na floater.

Compared to the Saudis, Mossad is much better hata mimi sipendi Israelis but they are good at covert operations.

You should learn what happened to black september terrorists members when they messed with Israel during Munich Olympics.

Remember how they hunted former Nazis all over South America?

The Saudis were caught out but you must give it to Turkish intelligence who seem to have bugged the Saudi embassy and must have been listening to lots of goings on there without raising any suspicions.
It’s also commendable how the Turks acted immediately once they realized something momentous was taking place.
Their only failure thus far is being unable to trace the whereabouts of the body or how it was disposed.

And what happened to the 15 man death squad?

Remember reports indicate the 2nd Saudi plane was stopped and searched and was only allowed to leave when nothing suspicious was found. At that point they had no justification to detain anyone.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Saudi prince decided to kill all of them.

Isn’t this a serious violation if true???

That’s a routine operation in espionage circles. Many countries never move in blindly to a building a foreign country and start operations. Debugging and doing it again regularly is a must unless the host country is steps ahead in technology.
Any serious intelligence agency will keep attempting to introduce bugs.

By the way I’ve never bought the story that he was going to pick a document so he marries.

You bug but don’t be caught or the gadgets should not be traced to you when discovered.

They are also claiming the Prince called him and told him to go to the embassy to pick those marriage papers.

The mossad used to make statements. They wanted you and the rest of the world to know they did it. Not hiding it.
