Saudi Arabia before discovery of oil.

. Before the discovery of oil in Saudi Arabia in the year 1938, life was different. Saudi Arabia was one of the poorest countries in the world at the time of its founding in 1932, reliant on pilgrimage revenues and limited agriculture. There were no cars, electricity, roads, infrastructure, hospitals, etc. Most of the Saudis were Bedouins and illiterate with low life expectancy and only basic raw food to eat and survive. Playing with falcons and hunting used to be pastimes before the discovery of oil.

However, after the discovery of oil in the year 1938, Saudi Arabia became prosperous economically and gained political leverage internationally. By the year 1976, Saudi Arabia had become the largest oil producer in the world. At that time, Saudi Arabia saw economic and social development progress at an extremely rapid rate, thus transforming the infrastructure and educational system of the country.

Meanwhile, in the 21st century, Saudi Arabia came to this:

In fact, Saudi Arabia is much more than these.

Oil did wonders to Saudi Arabia, didn’t it?

And Dubai and generally the Arab world saw mega-transformations in spans of 30 years because of oil . Now our very own Turkana , if properly managed , could make a big u-turn from the Turkana we know now BUT as usual the idiots that lead us decided Turkana was only going to get 5% of the returns from the oil drilled . When the Governor/senator of the area questioned that in a public forum ,he was told yeye ni mjinga and shetani mkubwa by the president .

Wonderful country we are in , aren’t we ?

We have some very good examples to learn from, Haven’t we? or is it, Don’t we?

@StanBenj In a traditional German toilet, the hole into which shit disappears when you flush is at the front, so that shit is first laid out for us to sniff and inspect for traces of illness. In the typical French toilet, on the contrary, the hole is at the back, i.e. shit is supposed to disappear as quickly as possible. Finally, the American toilet presents a synthesis, a mediation between these opposites: the toilet basin is full of water, so that the shit floats in it, visible, but not to be inspected. […] It is clear that none of these versions can be accounted for in purely utilitarian terms: each involves a certain ideological perception of how the subject should relate to excrement. In as much as i respect all opinion and different political ideologies, i cannot comprehend how your mentioning of MJINGA and SHETANI MKUBWA is conversant with my Saudi Arabia post.

I am with you on this one.

:D:D:D:D:D:Dthis is funny

Quite a slow thinker you are. You have pointed out nothing short of a video collage made for the consumation of the smiths of this country, such as yourself. Were you wiser, you would have asked such questions:
Is the budget for turkana more than that of other counties? Then, the 5% what is it compensation for? Land? Every other year?
I am so sorry. I hate engaging slow people. Keti pale n.v

Thanks for the insults . You are admired . You need not apologize for your non-sensible childish tantrum .

What Governor Nanok and other Turkana leaders were asking for is their fair share of revenue, as well as the bounty expected once the oil wells in the county go into production. What are you emotional about Mr pimping5000hoes ?

Hii turkana itawaka moto!.. Ngojeni tu!!..
