Bitcoin is just an example of how blockchain technology can be used. Just one example. The technology itself is invaluable
I tend to guess we are mixing issues here. There is Bitcoin, which i believe it’s a bubble and down the line investors will make major losses.
Then, they are cryptocurrencies, which are being formed and soon will be competing with each other, hence market correction.
Lastly, the technology behind the crypto currencies, blockchain technology is just one of them, and the technology will be useful down the line.
Technology wise, Hashgraph is way much better than botcoin, and once they realise their cryptocurrency, no one knows what will happen to bitcoin.
What I have observed is that, we are using the terms bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology interchangeably.
I agree with your post. Blockchain technology and Artificial Intelligence(AI) are areas Kenya government needs to invest in heavily. In my opinion, these are some of the most important technologies currently.
Ile nchi itawachwa nyuma na hii technologia, basi mambo yake kwisha. I hope GoK is negotiating for talented Kenyans to obtain scholarships to study these technologies in top institutions abroad, because like with any technology, those who go for it early have a lot of advantages.
