Why would I spend my 40k to get a shitty infinix device. For 40k I can get very good former flagship from Samsung. A newly introduced flagship from Xiaomi. Heck for 40k you can get the newly introduced Huawei Nova 9SE.

If I’m correct, the move to USB Type C is to simplify by reducing the types of ports you need. You can use the same port to charge, data transfer, connect external screens and devices etc…
You’ll only need one type of cable rather than having to carry different types of cables for different uses.
