I have been buying ile asali ya kupimwa pale Naivas au Quickmatt.I have always felt iko adulterated coz of crystal like substancea i normally find at bottom.of the package can asali ikiisha.
Until last Friday when one of the attendants ambaye ni beste namna hii, confirmed my doubt.Some kind of syrup is added to the original honey,I guess kuongeza quantity.
I also learnt kuna ingine ata sio ya kutoka kwa nyukiii but they don’t stock it,I didn’t know a mixture of bananas plus other substances can make honey.
Sasa ni wapi mtu anaweza pata asali clean straight from the beehive?

Halafu kwani asali ya Njoree(sijui jina yake ya kingereza) huwa haipatikani siku hizi.That mdudu’s honey was so sweet

Most Tugen traders in Baringo sell genuine honey.
Two quick tests:-

1. Dip a stick in the honey and pull it out gently, if you observe a continuous thin film of honey sliding back then it’s pure. If you notice its broken ( drops like) jua umechezwa.

2. If packed in a bottle, turn it upside down, the bubble at the bottle neck should move polepooole upwards.

Lab test is not practical on a roadside purchase. If you want bulk, i can be of assistance anonymously.
