Safaricom is not dependable and after June 2024 not independent when they shut off the internet. Also the quality of service from Starlink cannot not outdone by Safaricom especially out of Nairobi. I would be happy with better upload speeds but not complaining.

Starlink is actually a low-tier internet provider. In the US, speeds of 1GBPS are common if you live in a good area. Kenya, Safaricome wametufinya such that when they offer 50MBPS it feels like we should worship them.
They have stiffled innovation in all areas of life. Starlink only feels fast in Kenya because Safaricom as the market leader has been on a mission to make sure we are stuck in the third world for no particular reason

All other deibt cards charge ZERO fees to pay at a Point of Sale, which is bonkers as to why mpesa is still popular?

5Mbps is painstakingly slow because you get it’s like you have 2Mbps with an overhead of 5Mbps.
