Starlink subscription ni $110 per month.
Installation cost ni $599.
It’s too expensive to compete with Safaricom.

Birrioneas wanaingoja kama second coming. Convenience is everything. If I had money I want to stash for longterm, I’d still buy some safcom stock at this price or lower. Game bado changa techwise.
Is it the best time for the CEO to quit?
Ni kama ashatoka.
There is talk of splitting safaricom with the uncertainty, I’d urge caution.
I don’t think Starlink will disrupt Safaricom.
But most hotels and schools in remote locations like Maasai Mara, Samburu, Laikipia, Tsavo etc might switch to Starlink.
In fact, I see a business opportunity if you’re a technician who can install those dishes. Hapo unaweza nukisha kitungu vizuri.
However, Starlink dish can be disrupted by bad weather and it needs a clear view of the sky.
It’s plug and play.
Yeah, hiyo dish ni terminator kivyake ukishadunga power inasearch nearest satellite peke yake inalock
huku limuru ni cloudy 24/7
It is expensive for you. But for businesses that cost is very small for the speed they are offering. Not to mention the places like ushago, or remote places without fiber where NGOs have offices, or engineers in the field building dams, roads and other projects. Starlink has a huge market in Kenya.

Labda remote places… And that market is limited. Is speed a competitive edge? In which industry? Most businesses use Internet for zoom and emails so even 5-10 Mbps will do
