In other words, this new offer for whatsapp unliminet is an already existing product but with a new name … and extra shafting.

Take, for example, the daily offers. Why would you settle for 500mb and 500sms (who even sends sms nowadays) at 99/- when you can take the other offer they have under the already existing products for 1GB for 99/-???

They’re basically selling you half of the second offer by pretending that this new one is more attractive!

So, it didn’t take long for me to find out what +WhatsApp means in Safariconese:

You have purchased 5 GB+ WhatsApp Data bundle. Expiry date: 15/10/2018. Enjoy Free WhatsApp when your bundle is depleted. Dial 54444# to check your bundle balance.

In other words, when your bundle balance is positive, WhatsApp related traffic depletes it as usual. Once it finishes, you can access WhatsApp for ‘free’, but for how long?

The only advantage here is that 1k buys 5 GB now, but knowing Safcon, they could steal much of it or choke your speed.

Nobody beats safaricom at quality of service. Hate to say it but suffericom 4g/3g has never let me down. And i’ve tried hard to leave. Guess the analysts at safaricom have seen this too. Is there any network in Kenya that can stand toe to toe with safaricom in terms of data speed/quality/coverage.
