Safaricom bundles home insurance, mobile data and calls to new fibre packages

Nairobi, Kenya, Nov 8 – Safaricom has announced new Home Fibre packages that will combine mobile voice, mobile data, SMS and Home Fibre in one package.

Home Fibre Plus package will allow customers to enjoy mobile data connectivity, calls and SMS wherever they are.

Safaricom has also partnered with Jubilee Insurance to provide Home Fibre customers with a preferential home insurance cover.

According to Jubilee Insurance head of General Insurance, Winnie Njau, customers will not be required to compile an inventory of their household goods to benefit from the policy.

Safaricom Chief Customer Officer, Sylvia Mulinge, said the new packages reflect the changing needs of customers who want to access related services within minimum touch points.

“Hence, our latest all-in-one offering seeks to cater to their communication demands both in and out of the home,” said Mulinge.

Safaricom Home fibre customers can access the new packages by dialing *400#.

Safaricom’s Home Fibre service has passed more than 213,000 homes across the country and is available in Nairobi, Nakuru, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Thika, Bungoma, Kitale, Nyeri and Nanyuki among other towns.

A measly 4GB mobile data for an extra 1,000 plus Bob? Issa fraud. Run!!!

Faiba = 25GB

Probably their reason is that you will only use this when out of the office and away from home. Coz in both cases you will revert to WiFi.

na insurance hapa ni ya kazi gani?

Ile heart attack utapata getting an sms saying your bundles are over after 2 days of paying for the service

Am not boardiiiing…

Satan is just a nickname…Safaricom is the real name

Daylight robbery, why would i pay for home insurance?

Mimi nitalipa hio insurance… so long as waniexplainie whait entails…
naishi na Shinyeye wengi na hawapendi maendeleo

when is this bullcrap being introduced?

cant relate

The day yoi are robbed or catch fire will be the day Jubilee will tell you that you owned 6 plastic plates plates and a 12’ TV.

why would safcon increase the 5mbps from 2.5k ?hio ni upus and just when i was thinking of getting home faiba from them! The high cost of living is making internet a luxury rather than a basic need, infact wangepunguza to 4mpbs and charge 2k! sms na data nitajipanga mwenyewe

Do insuarance companies settle hizi claims za home insurance ama ni paka na panya kama motor vehicle

Zuku wanadai kujitoa, Safaricom wameanza ujuaji

plus 200 minutes!!

20 Mbps for 6700???
I’ll stick to Zuku for now as it is okay in my area

Hi there, new here so be nice

Been with Zuku for years if not a decade (when did they started btw?)
I am on 30Mbps Internet only at 4999Ksh. No complain despite few technical downtime/glitches and their horrible customer service (although I know the way around, you just call sales and talk a lot). Somehow I hear that Kilimani is bad with Zuku (crowded) but I never felt it; I guess it’s because Zuku cable is crossing our compound and passing just below my apartment. I am getting between 5Mpbs to 8Mpbs at peak hours (not enough for two users on HD IPTV though), and above at night. No idea for user ratio. I am aware that Zuku has a capping policy but I tried as much as possible to get details on this policy and requested for them to be transparent by notifying client when threshold is met and capping applied, total failure.

Llike everybody else, I was not amused when they increased their prices recently (not the first time though) due to tax, I also read the KRA article and didn’t appreciate new customer getting offers and old customers taking the burden. Well, I could smell rats were leaving the ship. So I enquired with Safaricom FTTH… The lady on the phone told me that their 20Mbps at 5699 Kshs will provide faster speed than my current 30Mbps at Zuku, was not convinced much for sure, especially with ratio of 1:4… Then those guys at Zuku told me Safaricom FTTH Gold 20Mbps won’t be give higher speed, that the all KRA stuff was propaganda and Zuku is here to stay and financially viable, and that Safaricom is known for stealing (which I can’t disagree  ) Fact is that Safaricom is 5699 kshs for 10Mbps less (advertised speed, heehe)

Anyone here on Safaricom FTTH in Kilimani on Gold 20Mbps? What speed are you getting?
Too bad they stopped their one month free try. Still on Zuku.

Cheers
