Safaricom uses band 3(2100 mhz) mostly in the cities and major towns then band 20(800mhz) for the rest of the areas.
Almost all phones with 4g in kenya have those 2 bands, the list is long just name a phone you may be interested in and you’ll be told if it’s 4g capable.
Get a 4g compliant handset and a 4G enabled SIM card as well. Everything else should fall into place.
Vile @mbeshar amesema hapo I think all 4G phones support the two Safaricom 4G bands. Band ya Faiba ndo noma kupata.
vile @conoiseur amesema hapo juu tafuta a 4G enabled sim card and you are good to go
Safaricom uses the 1800Mhz (Band 3) for urban areas and 800Mhz (Band 20) for both urban and rural areas.
In Nairobi and Mombasa, Safaricom aggregates the two bands hence the 4G+ symbol if your phone supports carrier aggregation on the 800Mhz and 1800Mhz frequencies.
Get a phone that supports band 20 and you good to go.
This is for 3G.
Thanks guys
Yeah my bad niliconfuse
