If this is in the US then the bigger issue is the wanton, widespread, out of control gun violence seen on a daily, nay hourly basis. That is the elephant in the room no one wants to address. People get shot every single godamn hour for the flimsiest of reasons.
But nobody wants to hear that. They’re like innocent kids got shot in school today, so sad, lets hold hands and have a pity party, then life goes on. Nobody is asking why people are walking into schools with guns; why are people with numerous warrants prowling the streets; why are repeat offenders being let go etc etc etc.

Strangely though, Chicago (place with gun control) can have more shootings than the whole state of Texas. It’s not as easy as it seems because places where guns are allowed it seems most people are registered under the NRA and are law abiding citizens. The places with all this gun violence more often than not are left leaning areas with stricter gun policies
